Into the Woods
Starcatcher in partnership with the Incubator Theater were thrilled to bring Stephen Sondheim's beloved musical “Into the Woods” to Jerusalem at the Gerard Bechar theater durin March 2023! The 1987 instant classic, "Into the Woods" twists some of Western civilization's most well-known fairy tales in order to issue a warning about the effects of the stories we pass down to future generations. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, "Into the Woods" is a brilliant reimagined take on classic fairy tales and includes beloved songs like "Giants in the Sky", “On the Steps of the Palace”, “Last Midnight”, and "Children Will Listen". The show is a fan favorite among community theaters and musical lovers everywhere. The production was performed in English with Hebrew subtitles and featured a live band. Show dates: March 2, 9, 11, 16 with a special family-friendly matinee of "Woods" Act 1.
