Based on the 1891 Frank Wedekind play, Spring Awakening follows the story of teens in 19th century Germany — but with Rock Music!
A tale of struggle in a repressive culture, where characters attempt to deal with sexuality, friendship, love and family. With book and lyrics by Steven Sater, the show features a beautiful score by Duncan Sheik including the songs “Mama who Bore Me”, “Don’t do Sadness”, and “The Song of Purple Summer”

╰ WHAT TO PREPARE? ╮
☞ Come ready to dance in clothes you can move in. We will be teaching a short dance segment at the audition.
☞ Come with a song to sing, preferably one that is in the style of ‘Spring Awakening’.
☞ No need to prepare a monologue. We will have scenes from the show for you to read from.
☞ We are looking for:
– 5 lead girls, 6 lead boys, and ensemble members (ages 16-27), -and two adult characters (male and female)
